President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, embarked on a journey to Bandung, West Java, via the Whoosh high-speed train, accompanied by members of the public from Halim Station in Jakarta. The President arrived at the station around 7:45 p.m., sporting a cream-colored outfit and engaging with fellow passengers as he boarded the train. His presence generated surprise and excitement among commuters, with Prabowo waving to onlookers and warmly interacting with the crowd.
Before the departure of the high-speed train to Tegalluar Station in Bandung at 8:00 p.m., President Prabowo took the opportunity to pose for photos with the Whoosh crew. He is slated to inaugurate the 2025 Indonesian Convention on Science, Technology, and Industry (KSTI) at Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) from August 7 to 9. Alongside Nobel Laureate Konstantin Novoselov and Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Prabowo will deliver the keynote address at the convention under the theme “Economic Growth and Equity Through Mastery of Science and Technology,” positioning KSTI 2025 as a significant strategic platform on both national and international levels.
