Indonesian Diaspora in Middle East Optimistic about Prabowo’s Leadership

President Prabowo Subianto’s visit to Middle Eastern countries like Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt in early April 2025 has sparked optimism and high hopes among Indonesian diaspora members, including students. During the visit, the Indonesian community in Turkey, represented by Maulidya Nur Islami, expressed pride and delight, viewing it as a positive momentum for both nations. Additionally, individuals like Muhammad Munirudin and Muhammad Syarif were appreciative of Prabowo’s personal attention and direct interaction with them during the visit, anticipating strengthened cooperation between Indonesia and Turkey in the future. In Qatar, Rifki Nur Muzaki conveyed enthusiasm on behalf of the Indonesian community, hoping that Prabowo’s visit will serve as inspiration to continue bringing pride to Indonesia. Likewise, the Indonesian diaspora in Egypt welcomed Prabowo’s visit, citing its potential positive impact on educational development for Indonesian students in the country. Overall, members of the diaspora in these nations extended prayers and well wishes to Prabowo at the onset of his leadership. Since April 9, President Prabowo has embarked on official visits to various Middle Eastern countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt.
